Sekhmet the powerful

This is one powerful sculpture isn't it? It has me writing a 5 page analysis paper about it when I don't know the first thing about Diorite rock or its meanings. This goddess has a powerful myth to coincide with everything I am learning about her. There were over 700 statues of her seated and standing each with a ritual done infront of it. A different ritual was performed infront of a different one, twice a day, everyday, all year long. crazy eh?

This is a postcard google helped me find.
I love the clouds in the background, making me feel like it is a dream-state.  I feel like the exchange of everything on the internet is portrayed very well with the path and the obstacles of the sign, and graphically, O am drawn to the picture because it makes me ask why is this road so twisted, and what happens along the way??

Gun-chair.  Not something that sounds too appealing does it?  The thoughts of guns and sitting down do not mesh well together.
I could actually imagine sitting in the chair, thinking about all the men that owned these guns and about how dormant they are now while I'd be sitting in it...  mind-blowing.

Dreamy

As an artist, i have found that i like dreamy designs that a person doesn't see everyday.  If I were to draw a moth for any reason, it would look just like this one.  The design of the moths wings and body appeal to me because they do not look like a normal moth, it looks like a moth i would have created for aesthetic reasons, not to make look realistic.  This moth in particular has a very unique pattern on it's wings and body..  it would make a nice tattoo for whatever reasons.
Moths are an omen of summer, summer rain, birth, death, and many other things.  This moth looks like it.
